My name is Seth Kissinger.  I am a co- owner, the founder, and Head Coach at Cultivus Fitness. I am a CrossFit  Level 2 trainer and have been coaching for nearly a decade.  My passion for fitness and desire to help others led me to open Cultivus back in 2017. I absolutely love helping people change their lives through fitness and movement.

When I am not at the gym, you can find me with my wonderful wife and two daughters who are all also part of the Cultivus family. We love our little corner of Southwest Michigan and I look forward to continuing to positively impact this community for years to come.

My name is Leah Parkinson. I am a  co-owner and coach at  Cultivus.  I am a science educator, an NASM certified personal trainer, and I hold  CrossFit Level 1,  USA Weightlifting Level 1, and  Renaissance Periodization Nutrition Level 1 coaching credentials.  I am fascinated by the scientific aspects of exercise and nutrition and I love translating that information in a way that benefits our members.

“Fitness for All” is my personal coaching philosophy.  No matter where our clients are on their journey, I support them with the education, adaptations, and encouragement they need to meet their fitness goals. My favorite part of coaching is helping people discover what they are truly capable of and realizing how strong they are.

I’m Karen Case. I’ve been a coach at Cultivus since 2019. I am an NASM certified personal trainer with a senior fitness specialization. As a wife and mother of three with a mini farm at home to keep up with, I understand the value of using my time in the gym to train to support my busy life. For that reason, I developed and coach the Fit for Life Program, a class designed to promote strength training and cardio fitness for adults ages 50 and up.  I am passionate about helping others train to support daily living and enjoy a high quality active lifestyle throughout their lifetime.

My name is Megan Case and I’m one of the newest Cultivus Coaches! (Yes, Karen Case is my mom and I’m just hoping I end up as cool as her). I have my CrossFit Level 1 coaching credential and have been getting my exercise from Cultivus since we opened! I love all things fitness from strength and conditioning to rock climbing and I’m even on an acrobatics team. Helping other people learn to love working out and moving well is something I get so excited about! When I’m not training I’m probably studying. I am a 5th year education major at Andrews University and will be graduating May 2024. I’m excited to see you in the gym!

My name is Patrick Bates. I fell in love with the gym in 2007. At first I was dedicated to bodybuilding, but when I decided to prep for my first bodybuilding show in 2012, I discovered CrossFit and haven’t looked back since. I got my CrossFit Level 1 coaching credential on Valentines Day 2015 and coached at one of Southern California’s premier CrossFit gyms. I went on to be part of a coaching staff that included CF Games athletes. In 2019, I moved to Michigan and stepped back from coaching. After getting restless during lockdown, I recertified my CF L1 and started coaching again in 2022 at Cultivus Fitness.

My name is Jessie Lam and I have a USA Weightlifting Level 1 coaching certification. I have been Olympic weightlifting since 2019 and can usually be spotted on the lifting platform in the back corner of the gym.

When not at the gym, I work my day job as a biomedical engineer and love spending time outside backpacking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and climbing to name a few. As a St. Joe transplant, the Cultivus community has made me feel right at home and given me a sense of belonging. I look forward to contributing to what makes this gym a great place and sharing this family with our current and future members!

I'm  Anh Wilkins. I have my CrossFit Level 1 coaching credential and have been coaching at Cultivus since 2022.   I started my fitness journey ten years ago with a focus on strength training, and fell in love with it.  I wanted to share my passion with others, that's why I started coaching.

I'm married to my best friend and am the  mother of two very busy teenage boys.  I know I need to keep my body moving to keep up with them. I love meeting new people and hope to continue to meet new people at Cultivus.
